Cut salmon into 4 fillets, leaving the skin on. Set aside while preparing the blackened seasoning mix.

Whisk together the blackened seasoning mix. Sprinkle over the salmon fillets, pressing it in.

Cook salmon, flesh side down in a cast iron skillet with melted butter until the fish flakes easily with a fork, flipping once.
