Blackened Shrimp is a deliciously flavorful and easy Cajun recipe. Simply sprinkle prepared shrimp with blackened seasoning and sugar, then sauté with garlic and butter until cooked through.

Peel, devein, and remove the tails from the shrimp, if you prefer. Place in a large bowl and pat dry. Whisk together seasoning, sugar and salt. Sprinkle over the shrimp and gently toss to coat.

INSTRUCTIONS

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add in the garlic. Saute until the garlic becomes fragrant.

Place shrimp in the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2-4 minutes, flipping halfway through. They are done cooking when their tails begin to curl.

Blackened shrimp is on the spicier side, so it goes well with rich carbs. Try it alongside your favorite rice or pasta dish, or with cornbread.
