If you know How to Make Sushi Rice, then you can enjoy a Japanese favorite at home! Simply cook short-grain rice, vinegar, and sugar to make this fluffy and sticky rice.

Sushi Rice  Water Rice Vinegar Sugar  Salt

KEY INGREDIENTS

Place rice in a fine mesh strainer and rinse under running water for 2-3 minutes. Bring water and rice to a boil, and reduce heat to a simmer. Cover with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes.

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine vinegar, sugar and salt in a separate pan over medium heat. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.  When rice is done, transfer to a large bowl and mix in the seasoned vinegar.

COMBINE

Cover rice with a damp paper towel, and let cool to room temperature.  Use to make sushi rolls or serve it up in a vegetarian sushi bowl.
