Put the rice into a mesh strainer and rinse until the water runs almost clear. Add the rice, water, butter, and salt to an instant pot. Cover with the lid and make sure the pressure release valve is sealed.
Turn the instant pot on to manual mode. If you're cooking on high set the timer for 3-4 minutes. Then naturally release the pressure for 10 minutes. If cooking at low pressure set the timer for 12-13 minutes.
Move the pressure release valve to vent. Open the lid when done and use a fork to fluff the rice. Serve immediately.
