Add oil and butter to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter is melted, add the sliced mushrooms in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving.
Flip them over and continue cooking for a few more minutes. Make a well in the center and add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté until garlic is fragrant.
Add salt and pepper, to taste, reduce heat and continue cooking the mushrooms for another 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve immediately with a sprinkle of finely chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
