Shepherd's Pie is a traditional recipe packed with comforting ingredients and is surprisingly easy to make. Ground beef is seasoned with herbs and mixed with vegetables and then topped with a thick and filling layer of creamy mashed potatoes.

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Cut potatoes into chunks then add to a Dutch oven. Cover with an inch of water and add some salt. Bring the potatoes to a boil then simmer for 10 minutes.
Drain potatoes then add back to the pot with milk, butter, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mash together and set aside. Sauté onion and celery for 3-4 minutes then add garlic. Add the ground beef and once thoroughly cooked break into smaller crumbles.
Add tomato paste, flour, Worcestershire sauce, herbs, salt, and pepper. Add beef broth and let simmer until thickened. Stir in the frozen veggies. Add the ground beef to a baking dish and then add dollops of mashed potatoes. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
