Place butter, tequila, lime juice and 2 c. powdered sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer. Cream until incorporated.
*I used Bob's Red Mill 1-to-1 Gluten-Free flour blend.
**About three limes worth of zest.
***I used Tres Agaves margarita mix.
±If you do not want to use alcohol, leave out the tequila on the cupcakes and substitute the tequila in the frosting for additional milk or heavy whipping cream.
