How to Bake Bacon in the Oven

You'll always get the BEST and CRISPIEST results once you know How to Bake Bacon in the Oven! This foolproof method uses a wire rack for even baking and foil for quick and easy cleanup. Both pork and turkey bacon will turn out perfect every time!

Ingredients

  • 8-10 slices bacon regular or thick-cut

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Arrange Bacon Slices: Place bacon in a single layer on a large sheet pan either lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil and a wire rack. Lift up pieces of the bacon to give it a wavy appearance, if you’d prefer.
    8-10 slices bacon
  • Bake in Oven: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-25 minutes. Regular-cut bacon will take 15-20 minutes while thick-cut bacon will take closer to 20-25 minutes.
  • Drain on Plate: Remove bacon from oven and let drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Pat dry with additional paper towels to remove excess grease. Enjoy!

Meal Prep and Storage

  • To Store: Keep the cooked bacon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-5 days. 
  • To Freeze: Store in a freezer-safe airtight container for up to 3 months. 
  • To Reheat: Place the in an oven or air fryer set to 350°F for 4-5 minutes or until heated through. You can also microwave it on a paper towel lined plate for 20 second intervals.
