Mojitos

This cuban cocktail is the perfect combination of rum and mint.

Ingredients

For Mint-Infused Simple Syrup

  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 handful mint leaves

For a Single Mojito

  • 6 Mint leaves
  • 2 oz. mint-infused simple syrup
  • 1 1/2-2 oz. light rum
  • 1/2 Lime juice
  • Club Soda

Instructions

* Mint Infused Simple Syrup*

  • Bring water and granulated sugar to a boil. Once a boil has been reached, remove from heat and add a handful of mint leaves. Let sit for 1 hour.

For a Single Mojito

  • Place mint leaves in the bottom of a tumbler glass with 2 oz. mint-infused simple syrup. Use a muddler to muddle the mint leaves.
  • Add ice to ¾ full, juice of ½ of a lime and 1 ½ oz. light rum. Fill glass with club soda and stir. Enjoy!
