Ready in 15 minutes and so easy to prep, this Grilled Broccolini gets the perfect char and tons of flavor thanks to a squeeze of lemon juice at the end!
Remove any leaves from the broccolini stems and place the broccolini in a medium bowl or on a large plate. Drizzle with the avocado oil and then sprinkle evenly salt. Toss until well coated.
1 pound broccolini, 1 tablespoon avocado oil, ¾ teaspoon salt
Add the broccolini to the grill in a single layer and cook, flipping occasionally, for 6–8 minutes, or until lightly charred.
Remove from the heat and serve with the black pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice.
½ teaspoon black pepper, 2 teaspoons lemon juice
Notes
Pepper: Avoid tossing the broccolini in pepper before grilling as it has a tendency to burn when exposed to high heat.
Lemons: Place two lemon halves onto the grill, cut side-down, and grill for 2-3 minutes before juicing for extra flavor.
Tender texture: If the grill is too hot, you may end up scorching the broccolini florets before they’re cooked through. If that happens simply remove them from the hot part of the grill and place on the upper rack. Close the grill and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until tender.
