What’s the difference between overnight oats and regular oats?
The difference between overnight oats and regular oats is the preparation. Overnight oats soak in the liquid and other ingredients in your refrigerator overnight and are eaten cold the next day. Regular oats are cooked in a pot on the stove or in the microwave and are eaten warm in real time.
Do you have to cook overnight oats?
Unless you are including ingredients in your overnight oats like roasting nuts or making granola, then no you do not have to cook them. Everything is added into a small airtight container like a mason jar, placed in the fridge overnight, then stirred and eaten the next day.
Do you eat overnight oats cold or warmed up?
Overnight oats are to be eaten cold so it’s a quick meal-prepped breakfast. Warmed up oats are regular oats, and can also be made fairly quickly if you have minimal ingredients.
